Stavan Patel
I’m the Creative Director at Founders, Inc. where I lead brand, visual identity, and marketing. Over the past year I’ve designed the four programs that decide which builders end up on campus — Blueprint, Off Season, Artifact, and Canopy.
Before that I was Head of Design at buildspace, where I crafted the brand, the websites, and Nights & Weekends — a six-week school for people to work on their own ideas. It grew from 700 builders to 70,000 over six seasons. I drew the logo, named the houses, and designed the visible language that made buildspace buildspace.
Earlier I spent a few years at Microsoft — cloud consulting on Azure, then UX/UI — and started an edtech company called Quze, where we built proof-of-learning consensus algorithms. I grew up in India, moved to Chicago at 14, and studied computer engineering at UIUC. I live in San Francisco now.
